MTL doesn't need Maatta I'm pretty sure of.

That 2nd MTL trade doesn't make sense for either side IMO.

montreal needs dmen there defence is horrible Romanov will help but defence is still needed . Cayden Primeau is an amazing 20 yr old goalie prospect he will be stuck behind Carey Price and the 7 yrs left on his 10.5 million a year contract . Primeau becomes CROWS replacement down the line

Everytime a trade is proposed for a left handed defenseman to MTL, the MTL fans say they don't need LHDs.

Montreal isn’t interested in Maatta. We have enough 2nd/3rd pairing defensemen.

The 2nd trade makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Our 2 strongest positions are C and LHD, so it makes no sense to add more of those players. Primeau is essential to our success, Price won’t be a starter forever, and we need someone to back him up and take over when he gets older. And by adding Stome we end up taking on a bunch of salary and screw up our cap situation. We aren’t interested in the slightest.

Just because your played out of position as a 1st pair dman ( chariot ) does not make you a top pair dman he was played there out of desperation and a lack of depth he is and always has been a number 5 or 6 dman . besides petry and weber the habs do not have another top 4 dman right now . Romanov is a rookie with very limited offence . ( no one knows exactly how he will work out this year ) KK is starting to look like a bust . Danault is a very good quality 3rd line center being played out of desperation as a first line center ( lack of depth ) . Domi pouted when put on the wing last year and the habs might trade him , he is rfa no contract talks have been in the news and apparently he wants a big contract extension . Suzuki looks like he might be a star . Strome looks like he can be a 60 - 75 point center with size . Beaudin gives montreal a top two prospect dman to pair with weber . Suzuki and STROME as your 1 and 2 centers with Danault as 3c gives montreal youth some size quality and depth down the middle . Carey Price has 7 yrs left on his untradeable anchor of a contract .Trading Primeau to fill two of the habs BIGGEST holes is good for the habs . Matta actually pairs up with Petry perfectly in the top 4 leaving Romanov a chance to play with Chariot and get acclimated to north american hockey

Pretty sure MTL declines both. And the hawks aern't retianing more than 1 mil on smith AND adding value for someone to take him. The buyout is only 1,083,333.

if season restarts Smith will not be available due to injury . he will not be ready to play before october apparently , therefore he can not be bought out during the buyout period

Those lines look VERY odd to me, but then I'm just a bystander. I thought your first two LWs were DeBrincat and Kubalik and your first two RWs were Kane and Saad. Assuming the Montreal trade doesn't occur, that would make your third line Caggiula-Carpenter-Nylander until further notice.

When you need that much explanations to back you trade up it's a sign that the trade just isn't working out.
-Chiarot has played on first pairing in Winnipeg and Montreal and has shown that he belongs in a top 4.
-Chill down KK's barely older than some prospects in this year's draft, people expected too much and too quickly from him.
-In what kind of dynasty is Danault ''just'' a third line center? According to hockey-reference out of any player who has played min. 30 games this year Danault ranks third league widein ''Corsi-for% 5v5'', who are ahead of him? Gallagher and Tatar. That just shows you how dominant of a center he is while playing against opponents top lines, he won't be that flashy center but everything he does is perfect.
-Primeau isn't in Price's shadow because he isn't ready yet. He'll most likely get a shot next year (2021-22) and we'll slowly get to a 50/50 goalie tandem in 2023-24, by that time Price's contract will be done soon and his prime will be behind. This would be a troubling situation if Primeau was ready right now for a starting job.

    Please stick to your team.

in his 7 year career he averaged a little over 15 minutes a game with almost no pp time the only time he played as a top 3 was when winnipeg was decimated with injuries on defence . ENSTROM . BUFF , MYERS , MORRISEY AND TROUBA were all infront of him . at least argue with the truth not made up info ( fake news lol) 7yrs left on Prices contract . Like i said playing players out of position out of a lack of depth and desperation . Name one team in the nhl where Danault is a number 1C ???? His numbers are inflated because he plays pp , pk , with the habs best wingers and 1st line minutes . Dont get me wrong i love Danault i think he is an excellent player . A slightly below average ( scoring wise ) 2nd line center or a really amazing 3rd line center . David Desharnais was never in any stretch of the imagination a number 1 C but was played as one in montreal out of desperation and a lack of depth . His career numbers in montreal were much better because of playing pp and first line minutes with habs best wingers . ( sound familiar ) ??
