Description

Bridging young RFAs and assuming the Draft lottery works out. One of the three young goalies pans out to be a starter (but option to resign Nilson as a temporary solution). Also hoping one of Norris/Stutzle (2020 2nd-6th overall pick)/Brown can be a #1C after 2021.

Clearly there's a lot of depth but the Right-side defense is a clear weakness, but I'll reserve judgement on Zub until I see him play.... clearly need to get out of the Zaitsev contract!

Jets aren’t paying a first for tierney. Guy is a good 3C but not 2c material imo

You can have CJ Smith for Chlapik but you sure aren't getting a 2nd and a cost controlled RFA who established himself as a very good 4th line grinder. Chlapik hasn't established himself as anything yet

I must have just been thinking of Lazar as when he left Ottawa and was in Calgary where he was basically a bottom end NHLr/AHL tweener (aka a contract dump here). That trade doesn't necessarily need to be Lazar but just any contract/salary.... I'm sort of happy to see that Buffalo fans think of Lazar as a full-time NHLr!
