I don't see Stepan as a cap dump. But then...it is Arizona so who knows. That's a steal for Buffalo. Hard to argue with any of those trades except Johansson. Probably get more for him at the deadline. He absolutely killed it with the Bruins in the playoffs before coming to Buffalo. Teams won't forget that.

AZ is hard up against the cap. They have a projected $1.8M in cap space and three prominent UFA's: Hall, Soderberg and Richardson. $1.8M definitely isn't enough for Hall or Soderberg, so the team is going to get worse unless they dump some cap as is suggested above. I could see them doing this if they decided to re-sign Hall, but I'm not a Coyotes fan so don't take my word for it.

Yeah, Sabres fans who think Adams will be able to sign any decent UFA this summer are dreaming. The org already had a bad rep, nobody is signing there now unless they have no alternative.

Yes, he'd didn't want to plays in buffalo so there is a likelihood he's back on a better team.

I would rather see Cozens flipped in the lineup with Roslovic. Cozens is likely the 2C of the future lets start grooming him now. IMO Lias Andersson is a much lower prospect than Mitts at this point. And with his off ice issues that seemed to be contributed to by being buried on the fourth line by the Rangers when he was playing I think trading for him and then doing the same is a recipe for trouble. Mitts at least seems willing to try and work at the ahl level to try and improve his game to be more prepared for when he hopefully gets back to the nhl lineup. Really like the rest of the roster construct though.
