Yeah we kinda have nothing in between in terms of 2nd rounders, something like adding a fourth could do the trick doe because a low 2nd + mid 4th could land you a mid-2nd in a trade.

There is a great difference between pick 60 and 40 tho

I think that a very early 2nd would be giving too much but 60 seems low.
Either giving them next year's 2nd with a late third this year or the 60oa (That's likely to change if Blues don't win the cup) and a 4th would seems fine value wise?

I rather have two third than a late second.

If I'm Car, I'm not moving Bean. Putting that aside, I agree with other comments that Mtl would have to move up the pick a bit. If that takes a separate trade then so be it.

Hudon need a change of scenery. I believe the guy can fit well in CAR. He did well in QMJHL before getting toss by MTL.

I don’t understand why the Hurricanes would do this. They’re giving up a former 1st who had a great season in the AHL this year and their 1st from this past draft for a guy that will be a good 3C at best and a late 2nd round pick.

Well Poehling is a 1st round pick also by that thinking.
Seriously I mean Ryan Suzuki doesn't project to be as good as his brother so could become a decent middle 6C, Carolina would basically trade for an already developed Poehling instead of waiting for Suzuki to do so (ETA for Suzuki should be 2022-23, one more year in the OHL and one year in the AHL or so, maybe a stint at the end of 2021-22). Bean had a very good year in the AHL but with Carolina's depth at LD it's almost impossible he gets a full time job there, at the moment they have Slavin, Skeij, Gardiner, Edmundson and Fleury at left defense (Plus Hamilton and Pesce on the right side). Poehling projects as a Danault kind of center, he'll become a shutdown guy with good faceoff skills in not so long but the fact that we're jammed down the middle (In Montreal and in Laval soon) makes it easier for us to move him, it's not like I was sending them a bust like McCarron.
