Blockbuster Eichel Trade

Créé par: Survivorking77

Description
Seen a rumour that the Bruins would prepare an offer for Eichel if he were to become available so it got me thinking what kind of package could pull of such a blockbuster. What does everyone else think of this rumuor and is what I have prepared a realistic deal?

The thought of Eichel being in Boston is terrifying though, coming from a Leafs fan I would hate to see Eichel paired with Pasta.

Whatever it takes to acquire Eichel, it's not worth it for Boston. A contender won't part ways with that much core pieces

You think so? If the only roster players you give up for Eichel are Debrusk/Carlo, I think Boston should do that in a heartbeat regardless of what picks/prospects have to be included. They would be getting a young, franchise center to pair with Pasta and McAvoy for the future.

The deal would start with Pastrnak and nothing less. The Sabres don't move him for potential star players. A franchise type player would be the starting point. And they wouldn't trade him to a division rival. He isn't getting traded

If he requests a trade in a years time cause Buffalo is a garbage organization, then they have no choice but to trade him. When players request trades it usually takes a package of picks/prospects/young roster players to acquire them.

Ideally Buffalo gets a franchise player in return but when was the last time you seen a star player traded for another star? It doesn't happen very often anymore. Off the top of my head the latest examples I can think of are the Shea Weber/PK Subban and the Seth Jones/Ryan Johnason trades.

For who? Boston? Cause Buffalo definitely doesn't consider that.

All what? You didn't give up a single piece of you're core. The most valuable piece going back to Buffalo is Carlo and they have RHD to spare...\

Also Anaheim rejects. They have no need for Moore and need picks for their rebuild.

It’s just not close
Buffalo would demand a young star player (Pasternak in this situation) as the key piece coming back
Then add other “good” pieces like u have above

Well that's certainly one way for TML to beat BOS.
Embed a local GM from the big smoke to decimate their rival and then they might win one...
Pass & fail...get it!

Actually, they do have a choice
Eichel is still under contract for 6 more years after this
And it’s not like he’s gonna sit out
And it’s not like he’s gonna lose value
If the Sabres are gonna suck anyways,
then they can wait for quite a while before they’d have to consider subpar offers

If this is the deal throw in Kase and another 1st and take back Okposo's contract.

Good try Fitzy,
However, happy go lucky, team first Pasta at US$6.6MIL and 48Gs is more valuable today than disgruntled Jack, his US$10Mil/per and his steller 0-playoff games and points in playoffs; you guessed it, 0 too!
So no trade and definitely no add...thanks for playing!

Ummmmmm.... I wasn’t the one playing
I’m not the one trying to trade Eichel
If the Sabres did,
then it would take a Pasternak type guy, +
If Boston didn’t wanna do that:
1- cool. We wouldn’t wanna trade him in division anyways
2- don’t have to move Jack even if he does ask for a trade
3- certainly wouldn’t need to “rush” to move him, so we could wait for the right deal
4- teams would literally be lining up to make offers

In conclusion...
this whole trade scenario is dumb

So thank YOU for playing Crime dog,
but we aren’t trading Jack to the stupid Bruins regardless

Also... GO BILLS!!!

Not yet anyway. The notion of Pastrnak is, of course, absolutely absurd. Eichel WILL get traded, it’s just a matter of when. I’m guessing it’s not going to be for quite some time. The Sabres have six years left with eichel if they don’t move him, and then he’ll never play for them again. I’m absurdly confident in that. When it gets to the point where the number of years they think it will take before they can contend is bigger than the number of years left on his contract, he will be traded.

Sorry about that. The bruins fan base has a notion of what it takes to build a team that makes it out of the first round.

No prob, cause you're right no trade scenario in the 1st place.
And yeah go Bills and "take the Sabres (Pegula's) w/ ya" is probably an anthem in BUFF these days..

Boys its no use with these fans. They just assume they can take the whole team for a player that literally wants out.

This is an overpayment, not an underpayment lol but they just wont listen

@leafs_and_sens_fan loves talking about the bruins like he’s an expert, when he has absolutely no clue about the franchise. Nothing wrong with not knowing about all 31 teams, but running around making sweeping declarations as if they’re gospel is a bit much coming from him. Wouldn’t be surprised if he said Pastrnak was secondary scoring.
