No way Sabres retain $3mil. More than Skinner is overpaid by. The structure of this deal could work though but you're paying Skinner the full deal and Buffalo takes on Neal with no retention. Skinner minus $3 mil actually gets a good to decent offer from teams in need of a top 6 scorer.

Even with no retention, a 1st or 2nd comes Buffalo's way for having to take both Neal and Russell.

Obviously you didn't see that he has Buffalo retaining 3 mill per on Skinner which makes his contract very attractive to a team in need of a scoring winger unfortunately unless Edmonton wants to let's lose a high draft pick or say RNH it makes no sense for the Sabres to move Skinner and retain salary.

Skinner is better than that whole package you send us combined. Sure 9 mil is a lot for him, but he is still going to be a 30+ goal scorer for the next 5 or 6 seasons. Neal stinks, Puljujarvi hasn't proven anything and while I like Russell and see a spot for him in Buffalo, it's not remotely close to the value of even a 9 mil Skinner

But having skinner, nuge, drai, mcjesus all making big money will screw your cap

Remove Neal and add skinner for 6 million oilers are in fine shape financially
