Exactly. It's the same thing when people say the Leafs need Scott Mayfield. There are players out there that would fit into the leafs system and bring something the leafs currently dont have. Radko Gudas has fantastic underlying numbers as a #5 throughout his career. Hes crazy but hes a good puck mover, can defend the rush and is good at suppressing chances. Cernak is also pretty good but a bit overrated because hes on TB

It's kinda funny that with all the numbers that back it up that Carlo is, at least, arguably close to Carlo it's that Holl is over rated, not that Carlo is.

To be fair, Holl only had half a season to show his full potential. Yet, the type of role he played last season is way more difficult, for a team that isn't exactly reliable in their zone.

Is Holl second half of 2019-2020 as good as Carlo? Of course he is. He was better. With numbers to prove it.

his first half of the year was not impressive. 2nd year under keefe, yeah it was good... but I'm not convinced he is THAT good. I wouldn't want him in my top 4. When he only has 30 good games compared to carlo who has been consistently better for longer, then you gotta look beyond the short term. Carlo is clearly the more long-term better player. Ignore the 2nd half of this year, and there's not even a close debate, and 30 games is not anything to transform value this significantly.

Leafs have frankly nothing to offer or compare to a 23yr old, 6'5", 212 lb, 37th pick, RS-RD, shutdown guy, whom has yet to pay 300 NHL games and is on a sweet US$2.85M RFA deal (period).
