Imo Chiasson has more to bring to play with McDavid. Wingers in EDM are bit sub-par. Just figured AA-McDavid-Chiasson would work better than AA-McD-Kassian, but I could be wrong.

I think Bouchard may be ready, or we could at least give him a chance. And in my opinion I rather AA-McDavid-Kassian, but that’s just my opinion.

Yea.. Kassian is much better for McD. Plays die on Chiassons stick compared to Kassian. Plus Kassian is faster skater with better forecheck to get pucks loose for McD

Chiasson definitely shouldn’t be with mcdavid 5-5. Possibly power play time.
Neal Kassian would be my choices to start the year with mcdavid. Neal started the year on fire with mcdavid before getting hurt. To me I thought AA had a really tough go adjusting in Edmonton might wanna start him in a depth role not as much pressure to produce.
I’d be very surprised if bouch doesn’t make the team. He had a very strong year in AHL. Adding him to this team does pose a problem and unlikely holland will be ok with jones and bouch on that pairing so that’s why I lean towards keeping Russell and moving bennings rights. Russell can play both sides has a ton of experience does cost more but only for one year.
