D men are reknowned for taking longer to develop. What you say is true with forwards, but you look at defenders, and they often peak at around 25 and plateau from 25-30. Their position is much more difficult to learn, which means their often later to fully find that top end talent.
Rees I couldn't justify being better than Suzuki. Rees was mad good in the OHL, but Suzuki's season was cut abrupt due to a scary eye injury. I'm not dropping stock in Suzuki for an injury that he couldn't do anything about. It's also not like it's a likely injury to re-occur.
Tieksola having a great year in comparison to someone like Honka having a decent year in Liiga I called a wash, in hindsight, I probably should have Tieksola a little lower but I'm lazy.
Cotton should be below Makiniemi, that was a missclick on my part. The brothers were meant to be together as kinda eh players.
Ok, even then, Bean has 2 or 3 years to develop (players generally plateau a year before they peak iirc) and Fensore (who is already very good offensively, and is very smart defenseively) has six or seven... (And as I said is already a p smart player)
Rees was better than Suzuki pre injury... Rees was also just really really good this year, probably would go around 25 in a redraft
The difference between Liiga and Jr A SM Liiga is HUGE, just being able to land a full time job in Liiga in your SY+1 would make me take you over 90+% of guys in Junior A. Much less doing what Honka did in Liiga, he was an average player in the league at the age of 19, when the (average) player is probably around 25... which more than makes up for the ~8 month difference between him and Tieksola... Honka has a far higher floor, is far closer to NHL ready, and likely has a higher ceiling, vs Tieksola who is 100% still a project, good ceiling, but not close to Honka in anything else (going back to my redraft analogy, Honka probably jumps to around the mid to late second, and Tieksola stays in the late third to early fourth range)
Jason should also probably be below Weber... I would not be surprised to see him in the ECHL next year, at the age of 25...
