You must not be looking at the various offers from Leafs and Rangers fans then. There were more than 10 of each worse than this one. Still bad but not Leafs/Rags fan bad.

At least you started with a 2020 first (9th OA) and Kotkanniemi. I’m not a fan of Kotkaniemi though, I’d rather have Suzuki. Add a 2021 first and a better roster player than Lekhonen and we would be close if Eichel requested a trade.

The only problem here is this: this trade is an automatic no go because it’s a division rival and Montreal. Not a chance this happens unless it’s an insane package

The problem here is that no trade for Eichel makes sense. The overpay required to get Buffalo to actually move their Franchise player, especially in division is not worth it! The hole it would create in the overall roster is not worth it IMO.

If Eichel is this easy to get all the teams will be willing to give up that kind of talent

of course leaf fans are going to low ball eichel because they think he’s the scum of the earth compared to matthews. i say it starts with suzuki AND caufield.
