What would it take for NJD to land Brodin?

Don't think they have any pieces that fill our needs that they'd be willing to part with. Hischier and Hughes are who I have in mind (obviously not just for Brodin, that would be asinine) since we need a good young center

Chytil would be a sneaky good acquisition IMO.

Hasn't played a lick in the NHL so he's too risky to move Brodin for IMO. It's Chytil or bust for me

I think Boqvist is a LW. They'll roll with Hischier and Hughes in the top 6 and have Mcleod or someone else play 3C and Boqvist will be LW with whoever their 2C is. I just don't think any of those guys are worth moving Brodin for in general.

I'd love him. I'm sure Rangers fans are extremely high on him, but they do have Zibanejad and Strome had some excellent chemistry with Panarin so there might not be a ton of room to move him into a top 6 role. He's somebody I think Brodin is worth moving for and probably the only player in the Rangers org worth moving Brodin for outside of Ziba and they obviously aren't trading him

Strome won't be here long term, he might not be a ranger as soon as next season, so the 2C spot is chytil's to lose sooner or later

I mean like I said he had amazing chemistry with Panarin, that's a good reason to keep him IMO

My ideal situation would be to keep strome until the fox, kakko, mika contracts all expire and by then chytil will be fully ready for 2C, I don't think we'd be doing him a favor by throwing him into the top 6 right away next year, even with his stretch with kreider and buch

Rangers fans have made several posts for Brodin so seems like there's some disagreement about whether or not they need him. I'm just getting sick of the Brodin for Strome threads since he won't cut it if we trade Brodin and wanted to make a post about what it would take for the Rangers to get him. If they don't want to pay that, that's fine, we'll keep our best defenseman and sign him long term.

Yea with all the money you guys have and I love how wild fans think brodin is worth like top 5 dman in the league stature. U guys can keep him and keep tryin to build around a defense
