Leafs can and will likely do better moving Johnsson, he's not a cap dump, he's very useful, he is an established NHL winger that can play 3rd or 2nd line minutes

Based on what exactly? He has a cap hit of 3.4 million, who managed 3 (Three) even strength goals last year. He is only 5 10 and is coming off a serious leg injury. What is it exactly that he offers other teams that they can't get the same thing somewhere else at a cheaper price?

His .56 ppg , isn't a defensive liability, can clearly produce with top end talent - I'm not selling that player for a 3rd

He was injured the majority of the year. Hes capable of putting up 65 points on a team that doesnt have someone like him

Sharks accept but this is the maximum I would give up for him. Sharks hate defensive liabilities so I have a hard time seeing Doug pull the trigger.

Johnsson is actually fairly solid defensively. He's not Couturier or Kapanen but he isn't a liability either.

I agree the position fits your needs better, but I wouldn't call him a "good prospect." I think it's a long shot for him to make the NHL.
