Risto trade: Fine. Roll the dice on Duclair.

Oloffson: Dallas maybe adds but not much.

Mountour: Could go either way but see Mittelstadt trade.

Reinhart: Buffalo says no. Bratt is a nice piece. Would need a 2nd back and a solid prospect. Wood doesn't add much.

Okposo: Sabres ride the deal out. Not adding term for not much value.

Mittelstadt: Would rather gamble on him finding his game. No need for another RD. Just keep Montour.

Ghost: Probably yes considering they paid nore than twice that for Montour.

Thanks for your thoughts.
All interesting ideas.
IMO, Buffalo needs to upgrade GK, PK, RW or #2C.
There are forwards who may want to play with Buffalo. I do not know enough as I do not get to chat with the players.
PK is a a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. Both Larsson and Girgensons are very strong on the puck.
TBH, I think you did a really good job, thanks.
The last 4 years PK been bad no matter who is the GK or the #2 center.
The GK totally fell apart last year after a really good start (remember Hutton set a Sabre record for most saves while shutting out the other team).

Seems like most of these are in the ballpark. With minor discrepancies.

The goal is really to give Buff more offensive depth without sacrificing defense (ie:keeping Mccabe/Miller/Joker/Dahlin

No way Dallas trades Hintz for Olofsson. People are high on Olofsson right now but close to half his points came on the power play being fed from Eichel. He was awful at 5on5. Valuing him this highly is a trap.

Yeah I wouldn't do that trade if I was Dallas. But I don't think think the trade is necessary ridiculous.

Sabres decline Ottawa trade, Duclair is way to unpredictable, if hes in a good situation to produce now, better off leaving him there anyway
Dallas trade makes no sense for either side
Sabres reject the Florida trade, Florida needs to add more, upgrade the 3rd at least
Sabres reject the NJD trade
Minnesota rejects that trade
Sabres easily decline the Edmonton trade, no need for that at all when they absolutely need offensive depth
Sabres dont NEED Ghost and are better off spending the 2nd elsewhere but the value isnt bad if they use other assets to build their forward group

Thats completely false, yes 40% of his points came on the powerplay, but 8 PPP came in the 1st quarter when he had 14 points in 20 games. In his 2nd quarter of the season he was nearly a point per game player with 21 P in 22 Gm, yet his PPP went down to 6, then he got hurt. When he came back he only had 3 PPP of his 7P in the last 12 games. He was not awful 5v5, he even got better as the season went along, as he is a rookie that is what you want to see.

Yeah Ottawa doesn't touch that deal. Ristolainen is so far from the player Ottawa needs.

Tbh I'm coming at this from a Sabres perspective. But an Olofsson foenHintz swap isn't ridiculous.

Olofsson’s production is Eichel inflated. Same reason I don’t want Strome from the Rangers (Panarin inflated). It isn’t ridiculous, but you aren’t considering Dallas’ needs which is a quick no go for a trade to work

Sure. Dallas’ needs are the sane as Buff: depth scoring.

I don’t disagree. Olofsson had more offensive production. But certainly had more help. I think Dallas has more flexibility at the center position with Pavelski whereas Buff is a bit more limited. But I can certainly see Nill turning the offer down. Like you said, I don’t think it’s ridiculous.

Pavs is too slow to cover enough ice to play center imho
