Description
Not sure if Stevie would try something likely this, In this The wings Take on cap from teams needing relief now and plug them into the depth hoping for a shake up that makes the team more competitive. Ya know, not as bad as last year. Suffocating the propescts for another year and open it up next year for guys to come up. Your not keeping the third line, but maybe one, I like bjugstad but so do the pens, trade deadline bait possibly w bearcheese. Would love If Krug signed long term and or a center like grandlund or haula for a couple years (eakin?). I just do see why they would sign w the wings, unless we show them the money. I can see Krug signing but also not, who wouldn’t want to play at home. But at center veleno and Rasmussen are good enough to log some mins if fabbri can’t hang, having bjugstad might help (yikes). With the trades made here we could trade for a center-men. Over paying for Van Rie for a quick stint, unless we can get Krug, was thinking edmunsson as well but there maybe be a spot in his home province, WPG JETS... Always injuries to help season prospects.
Seabrook buyout is pretty intense! Even if it doesn’t effect the cap. Beaudin May be out of the question but a Nielsen contract for two years is a lot easier to deal with.
The Vancouver trade is something I couldn’t put a good finger on. Help me out here! With that package, what do u think he wings are giving up? How would a trade with receiving both be like?
Trade nemeth and bernier at the deadline and plug and play after. Maybe helm :( Lest see who these goalies are?!
Can we just please get one of point cirelli or Johnson, and then sign krug, and Holtby! So we can be epic again! Wishfull thinking!
Even if we end up with Byfield or someone else I still feel we can make it work. Having another center is good, I’m fine with talent throughout the line-up and no super duper star. Though it would be nice.

I don’t understand why we are paying you a top prospect to CBO Seabrook when we could easily do that. Also, taking back Nielsen defeats the purpose.

Not sure but I think if you do the CBO on a player, then you try to re-sign that player, you have to give gem a certain % of what he was making. But I think if your any other team you would be able to sign them to whatever. That gives both teams an opportunity to re-sign then on the cheap. Just a theory. Lol

You aren’t allowed to resign a CBO player for one year.

There’s really no point to do this is there is a CBO.

I don't think Pittsburgh agrees plus over $8M in extra cap it too much even if it is only for 1 year. The Vancouver trade is bad for Detroit. First Smith is the player Yzerman thought Erne was going to be. Detroit isn't on Eriksson list of teams he'd go to. Baertschi is a right side defenseman Detroit needs left side defenseman. With the way Vancouver is progressing that first will be at the end of the round.

It would really only save money out of the pocket in CHI, it’s definitely not a deal that would need to happen. With the CBO being there it’s going to be very uninteresting seeing no moves and just lots of CBO’s around the league freeing up the few moves that need to be made.

Fabri cannot play center, and bjug really isn't suited for it. The ufa market is barren except for haula who really is a low end 2nd center. You'll probably see filp there still unless we end up with byfield probably.

Ya I had just malmstrom originally. I like smith as a depth player. Good thing there is a CBO for Van to use on eeiksson, he’s not gunna like which ever way this goes down. Bearcheese is a left winger. I was thinking he can fill in the Fabbri spot from last year while he attempts to be a center men... eeee
Pits gotta a find a way to shed some cap, I just don’t feel like they want to CBO hornqvist, just not sure how Rutherford is going to get himself out of the pickle.

After putting this out as this was to take on contracts. The closer reality would be just trying to kinda steal these other guys in trades without taking on the bad contracts.
There may be an opportunity to snag some picks this offseason and the wings gotta be in on that. But I guess it would be the second contract on a team that doesn’t fit that we would be trading with.

Yeah Detroit's not wasting a CBO on Loui Eriksson, If we're going to CBO anyone if there is one. It will either be Abdelkader or Nielsen.
