Nope. Fowler's M NTC has just three team trade list. You can be sure Montreal isn't a destination of choice.

Four teams but they can still always ask him to waive which wouldn't be outrageous considering the ducks are gonna be rebuilding

No, Fowler is an American. Doubt if an out of playoff team team in Canada is on his list. Gotta believe his team would include the California teams, maybe Vegas and if he came east to non playoff team it would hometown Detroit.

Got a source to back this up? Lots of Americans love playing in Canada, you're just assuming all of this to make your point lol

Well I mean odds alone back it up. Every single team in the NHL has a low chance of being 1 of the 4 teams he'd waive to. The ones that have a higher "chance" are purely speculation. Even if the odds Montreal would be one of the teams he'd waive for were randomized equally among all the teams in the league, they'd still have a small chance.

There is a very low chance he'd waive for Montreal based on speculation sure but all other factors as well.

Former GM Brian Burke has said many times, that when players have no-trade lists, the majority of players have all 7 Canadian teams on their list, and this even includes players from Canada. Plus there is 3.5 times as many American teams, so it’s extremely likely that Montreal isn’t a team on his trade list.

Players waive their NTCs if it's going to a good team, especially if the term left on his contract is small. But to assume that Fowler with six years left will waive to leave the Pacific Coast for the shores of St Lawrence, is a bit of stretch don't you think.

I'm not going to way in on the no trade list argument: pointless speculation. I would say that I'd be surprised if Romanov did not make this team, as everyone assumes he's a near lock regardless of where fans think would be better place for him to start his career.
