Thats a very big jump considering Lafreniere is in a league of his own while Byfield and Stutzle are similar. I'd keep the pick and select Byfield or Stutzle but that would take the 2nd overall, a top prospect, a top 6 forward and an elite forward.

Laugh if you want, but if you got first what would it take you to move down? Im willing to bet quite a lot

For MTL it wouldnt make sense to move down from one considering the number of assets they already have as well as the fact that Laf is already a native hero. BUT for a team like Detroit who lack great prospects and picks (in comparisons to other rebuilding teams such ad OTT and LA), moving down and still getting the german wonder or the Malkin prototype plus some assets would be great. Theres no way any teams give the price above and any decent person knows it. Laf isnt McDavid and Byfield still have a potential sililar to Laf (especially when you consider the age factor). Seriously, Suzuki is a futur 70pts + C and Gallagher is an elite W, no way MTL is giving this simply for the sake of drafting a native player (even though the fit would be great for the city and the player)

If you want an elite winger you gotta pay up. Laf could be a Kane level player, and thats going to cost you. No team wants to move down, even detroit, so you would have to make it something you wont like giving up.
