That one is fair I would say. But your right, the duck have no need for them, being a rebuilding team.

Being a rebuilding team has nothing to do with it -- we need help on the right side of our defense, and neither Kapanen nor Johnsson are it.

We're not trading a first-round pick without getting immediate help on RD.

Thought Lindholm and Fowler can both play right d... don't really get why they need a right d while rebuilding.

Fowler or Lindholm can both play RD the same way Auston Matthews can play RW: they can do it, but why?

I don't think they've ever tried Lindholm at RD. But Fowler has started both of the last two seasons on his off side, and that experiment hasn't lasted to Christmas either year. Although I distinctly remember one instance last December where Fowler scored the game-winner in the third precisely because he was on his off side.

Lindholm has played spurts on the right. Especially this season. But not long term. Fowler was fine on the right this year but overall he was pretty good.
