Don't see Montreal giving up those assets for a guy with a contract like that. Tuch is a good middle 6 winger, but we don't really need him or his contract.

What? This is a steal for the Habs, its bad for Vegas if anything. They get 1 year of Armia and a third for Tuch who is on a fair long term contract that will likely only get better

But he isn't more valuable. He WAS better this past year, but Tuch was significantly better the year before. His chances to succeed on MTL are far greater than on VGK and he could be a 40-50 point guy. Armia expires at the end of this year. VGK will look to move Tuch if they view signing Lehner long term as a primary solution.

Tuch has 5 less points in 95 less games than Armia, is younger, bigger, and both are physical and defensive. Tuch is a faster, better version of Armia

Armia is better. He’s also had way more hits in less games than Tuch career high. And we move a third. And Tuch has a bad deal
No thanks

habs fans always think their average players are worth a crap ton.

armia is expiring... his value isn't through the roof...

You know we can extend armia, ill take the better player everyday. More skilled, way more physical... and Tuch has a bad contract, plus we move a third
No thanks

Better than Armia being a UFA and probably demanding as much if not more as a free agent the following season? Also didn't realize more hits makes you a better player, in that case the Habs should trade Domi for Matt Martin or Reaves

Wouldn't call it fair. He just had a horrendous season and is signed for another 6 years. He had a career season during his contract year and dropped off a cliff. Armia can easily be resigned.

Hits is so valuable when the offence is comparable. And we can always extend him.

For a physical winger, Hits are usually a good thing. He's also a great penalty killer and will cost us 1/3 of what Tuch is making.

His "down" year was largely due to injury. Injured physical players will refrain from being as physical so as to recover. Tuch's value hasn't really dropped as a result... and he far and away is the better player here. It's a slight risk for the Habs... but they're not giving up hardly anything here.

Just because you won the Pacioretty trade here doesn't mean you will rip this team off twice.

Not sure who taught you math, but he was on pace for 33 points. I'd rather Armia at his cap hit.

this is true... but he still had a 52 point year whilst being a physical presence the year prior. It's not like Tuch played a full season either.... and when he did play he wasn't 100%.

You're either massively undervaluing Tuch... or massively overrating Armia.

I think he's resigning for 2-3 Million. He played bottom 6 for a majority of the year. So yes, around 2 Million.

why are habs fans so obsessed with cap hit when they have a crap ton of cap... that's a near irrelevant topic with Habs trades.
