Dunno if PHI needs Kerfoot. They're pretty stacked on the C as it is. He'd be like the 4C there which just doesn't make sense.

4th rounder changes nothing and Kerfoot just doesn't fit to their plans.

Dunno if he can play the right wing. Their LWs are also fairly stacked with Giroux, JVR, Farabee, Raffl and Lindblom when he returns.

If I was to trade kerfoot I would look to nashville and acquire nick bonino. I believe he is the missing piece for the leafs.

If dubas could trade kerfoot for bonino with salary retained man that would be good.

Kerfoot is just like Nylander. Very versatile and can play any forward position. There was a small period of time where Nylander was sick and Kerfoot played LW and RW with Hyman and Tavares. He was nothing short of exceptional

I dont understand the deal either as the leafs give up a 4th to trade for a guy that has put up less points than kerfoot for 3 straight years but how tf would kerfoot be the 4C? lol
werent the flyers rolling grant at 3c before the break? Kerfoot would probably be a 3rd liner in philly but he would anchor the line. saying he would be a 4th liner when the flyers employ bottom 6 guys like grant, pitlick, raffl, thompson and kubel is pretty silly

leafs need kerfoot at 3C because spezza isnt getting any younger and they dont really have a replacement in the minors.
they have ample wingers ready to fill a bottom 6 role though...so johnsson will likely be the expendable piece

I'm speaking long-term. Think Couturier-Hayes-Patrick-Frost are all going to be ahead of Kerfoot in their depth chart.
