Honestly, no. He's a defense-minded mid-6 center but who knows what the future will bring. He has shown ability to play in a good level when paired with star assets such as Seguin. Their playing style compliment each other.

For you as a Habs fan, think of him as a poor man's Danault.

Probably. Figured that Seattle might want to bring some experience to what is probably going to be a young team. But that's not an issue. If they won't take Pavelski, we'd just keep him and let Palmieri walk in this example.

He isn’t an ideal top six player, but he’s smart enough and skates well enough to play anywhere in the lineup. His junior coach even tried him on defense to try to slow McDavid down. The high end skill isn’t really there but he’s a very good complimentary forward. Strong, smart, fast. I’d love to see him in a more offensive system (I’m not saying I want to trade him, I want a different coach lol)
