We are talking about two guys who look to be busts. Could be good for both players but I doubt Trotz and Lou give Pully any more of a chance than they did Hosang.

JP was a regular NHL player, he just wasn't playing to his potential and not satisfied with his usage, so he jumped ship to Europe, where he tore up the FInnish league.

Ho-Sang hasn't be able to stay on the NHL roster for 3+ years, and underperformed at the AHL level as well. He cleared waivers after training camp last Fall.

They shouldn't even be in the same conversation.

I think he'll get a contract somewhere. I'm just saying I think it's just as likely that he's a UFA this offseason than he comes back for more AHL time with the Isles.

If you wanted Ho Sang that badly just OS him a 1-way for $1.39m deal. That is no draft picks lost and I don't think NYI would match. He hasn't really done anything to earn that kind of money.

But then again, Puljujarvi's principle reason for leaving to Finland was that he wanted 15 minutes a night in a solidified top 6 role. His performance over there is only going to confirm those beliefs of his in himself. And despite his play, Idk any teams that are just going to hand him a 2nd line RW spot out of camp.

Ho Sang needs a team that will let him make some defensive mistakes because he's taking good risks. Only teams I can see giving him that kinda leash are Toronto, Carolina and maybe Vegas.
Puljujarvi needs a team that's ridiculously desperate for offense and has no winger depth. Only teams I can think of with that kinda space are Detroit, Ottawa, maybe LA...
