Way too much $ for Jost and Staal belongs on the 2nd line at least. I'd scratch Rask and play Foligno on the RW. Addison isn't ready for the NHL yet let alone top 4 minutes, put him in the minors and play Soucy with Brodin and have Hunt with Pateryn. Ek belongs at center as well.

Sorry not super familiar with wild lineup. I think Jost makes a ton of sense, has really good underlying numbers and could breakout with more opportunity on a team like the wild that really need centres.

Addison is nowhere near NHL ready. The Chucky signing makes no sense after the trades are made.

I don't have an issue with acquiring Jost, just not for that price. Maybe for Donato straight up.

Colorado says deal. Jost is going to be an effective 2nd liner somewhere and somebody will be happy. He was dumped into the Avs lineup after the 48 pt debacle and he really should have played another year at UND, imo he’s a classic case of being rushed but even rushed into the lineup he was an effective player and will blossom with more ice time in my opinion.

Welcome to even worse cap hell. Dumba had a bad year, but the year before Dumba (before he was injured) was the better player of the two, and it wasn't really close.

Dumba has never been remotely as good or close to as good as spurgeon, but OK.

From the mid Dec (17-18) to the time of his injury Dumba was playing like a top pair all situations d-man, better than Spurgeon (and the stats back that up).

Spurgeon missed 20 games that year, so Dumba got a lot of time paired with Suter and it was a vast improvement in the on ice results with Suter/Dumba over Suter/Spurgeon.

I've said elsewhere Spurgeon is an adv stats darling, but the on ice results don't match the stats.

I'll take Dumba's age/contract over Spurgeon's any day of the week. The Wild's on ice results haven't missed Spurgeon yet.
