I get that his contract is unlikely to age well and that in the last 2-3 years he won't be worth his cap hit, but he'd unquestionably make the Rangers better in the short term.

Burns has a positive value. I wouldn't trade either player alone for this package.

I think he's better than Trouba for another year or 2. I basically considered his value to be 0 when I did this trade.
