They won’t move Thompson. He still has so much potential only 21 years old. Was very good in the AHL, got called up and broke his shoulder.

Basically I've seen variations of the Hertl and Tierney trades on here a lot. Typically it's Tierney/Montour 1 for 1 -- so I added two extra 4ths to the deal. And the Hertl one typically doesn't have the extra 3rd rounder or Johansen (who can be flipped at the deadline for good value most likely). So I enhanced them - if they're still not acceptable, fair enough.

Ya I've seen a lot of Tierney for Montour too and every time I say Ottawa doesn't do that deal. You know it takes 2 teams to make a deal.

Cozens + 7 is worth way more then Hertl. Its more like one or the other.

It all depends on where we land in the draft.

If we get 2 picks in the top 3 (ex. Draft Byfield and Stutzle) then we'd probably be more inclined to trade him. I'd say Montour + Thompson + two 4ths would be fair.

If we drop to 4-6 and take Raymond and Drysdale then we'd need him to be our 1C for a couple seasons. I don't think he's touchable unless there's a significant overpay.
