You're probably right. But Kuznetsov has a 15 team no-trade list so he can virtually block a trade from happening if he simply has a look at which teams have capspace and which ones are likeliest to need a top 6 C.

I mean, he can effectively give himself a full NTC by listing Minnesota, Buffalo, Florida, Ottawa, Montreal, San Jose, LA, Detroit, Calgary, Edmonton, Arizona, Columbus, and NJ, along with 2 other teams he doesn't like.

I'd definately be interested.. and more apt to lose zadorov.. but if we kept them both and with big buff out of the central we'd have hands down the toughest team to play against, mackinnon would never get hit again

Why not sign both Zadorov and Byfuglien, and acquire Wilson....

I would love Wilson on the Avs but with WSH still looking to win now I don't think they would give him up.

Caps don't have capspace issues at all. Holtby is about to come off the books this summer then possibly Oshie or Eller in the expansion draft.

Caps decline, Wilson holds a lot of value for there team and identity.

Calgary are hardly a team to fear. Lucic and Rinaldo are big but they aren't key contributors.

Colorado don't need goons either. We have enough physical guys who can hold their own in Landeskog, Kadri, Nichuskin, Calvert, Johnson, Zadorov, and Cole.

Nuke can't fight and Lucic would crush the others. CGY gonna be a team to watch this playoffs. Remember how he single handedly destroyed Ryan Miller and the Buffalo Sabres? If I'm CGY, I tell Lucic to go right after Hellebuyck

Calgary were the top seed last year and the team to beat, and Avs ran circles around them and have since improved by adding Kadri, Burakovsky, Donskoi, Nichuskin, and Makar having a year in the NHL. Not worried about them in the slightest.

A big moment in that series was Z smashing Tkachuk in Game 1. After that I remember MT wasn't a huge factor. Similarly, Brent Burns took out two of the Avs impact players; COL ended up losing the series. I will be very, very interested in the CGY/WPG series. I think it's gonna be a bruiser.
