CGY-NYI Trade - Just like my last AGM, Isles move Thomas Hickey for cap space, Flames move a minor league forward for a depth defenseman after losing some in free agency.

MTL-NYI Trade - It's no secret the Canadiens need a top-4 LHD. In this trade, they move Artturi Lekhonen, one of their many forwards and two mid-round picks for Nick Leddy.

FLA-NYI Trade - This one was another outside-the-box idea similar to the Tuch-for-Boychuk one I had come up with. In this, the Panthers acquire Andrew Ladd, who can still play in a bottom-6 role and I'm sure would waive his NTC to play for Joel Quenneville again, and Kieffer Bellows, who could find a nice scoring role on a young team. The Panthers move Michael Matheson, who has struggled since signing his current contract. This increases Florida's cap, but they save actual dollars on Ladd vs. Matheson. Let's say this trade is made after 7/1 when Ladd gets a $4M signing bonus. For the next three years:

+$19.5M on remaining contract

So the Panthers rid themselves of a struggling player on a long contract and receive a different struggling player on a shorter contract to save some real dollars, and acquire a project goal-scoring forward. The Islanders move a player that does not fit into their roster, save some money on the cap, but have to give up a decent prospect.
