As much as I know TOR wouldn't do this trade as they're giving up too many assets, that top-6 is unfairly filthy

I don't think the Sabers take an Eichel deal unless they get several elite players or a boatload of prospects. It doesn't make sense just to take Marner because they still wouldn't be a playoff team.

Not worth it from a Leafs perspective. The price is just too steep.

I wouldn't swap Eichel for Matthews one for one. Contract, term and all. There are several Jack Eichel's around the NHL. There are few Auston Mathews's.

Pass.
