I guess it’s more fair, but I really dislike it. I prefer knowing who would play who beforehand, rather than wait until the end of a round to figure out who everyone plays. But that’s just me.

It is fun to be able to create a bracket, but in this odd circumstance I prefer the re-seeding because it keeps it as fair as it can be.

And remember it's re-seeded only within the Conferences, unlike 1978 (when the number-one-seeded Islanders played Darryl Sittler's number-sixteen-seeded Maple Leafs).
