GMJB tried to trade for Galchenyuk, at the deadline, he has also hinted multiple times that one of the reasons he traded for Simmons is so he could sign him in the off season. He re-signed Girgs last year when he didn't have to. He traded a first and a young NHL ready D prospector for Montour so I doubt he lets him walk and he already gave a bridge deal to Sam so it would make sense that he would also go that route with Olofsson to save short-term money. So as someone who follows the Sabres religiously, I think my fears are valid.

But that is part of the fear, GMJB has been connected to those players and will likely overpay to get them to come to or stay in Buffalo.
