Mike Reilly's 4M dollars cheaper and a lot younger than Stralman. Sens management probably thought Reilly had unlocked potential (they were wrong). Still they only gave a 5th for him.

How much is 4Mx2 in cap space worth? I'd say at least two high 2nds if not a 1st.

showed noticeable decline this year. doesn't seem like a true top pair guy any more. Definitely viable in a top 4, and on the bottom pair provides very good depth

Big risk for Florida to trade an unprotected 1st when they aren't a playoff team. Especially in a year after they could be losing a tonne of scoring if Hoffman and/or Dadonov walk.

That second pair is better than most first pairs (including their own...) Dillon can certainly hold his own on the top pair, but I wouldn't call him elite there, same with the third pair, they're nothing special

Hardly call this an elite D core, And it makes no sense to eat close to 50% on Brodins salary this year. While paying him close to $7 million per next season seeing that we will probably have another flat cap for the next 1-2 years.
