Sabres trade their 2nd best RHD Behind Jokiharju for a bad NHL player and a bad prospect. I think they would decline this offer although you never know with Jason Botterill.

There's two years left on that contract. Getting a first+some prospects as a compensation seems reasonable. Could add some conditions to the pick though, such as if the pick is TOP3 VAN retains the pick and gives out 2022 1st rounder, or if VAN gets to the playoffs in 2021 MTL has the option to take the 2022 pick instead that is TOP8 protected and if that won't apply then MTL receives a 2023 1st with no conditions.

Imo they're better off trading Miller now rather than losing him for free in the ED.

Considering what the canes got for 1 year of Marleau, I don't think this trade is fair. Especially considering the contracts that Montreal will have to give out in the next 2 years.

That team looks good which means that the first round pick you're sending to the Habs won't be that high. The basis of the trade isn't bad but there's no real incentive. Maybe change the prospects for MacEwen/Juolevi/Woo/Lind

u guys have Justin Bailey, who basically doubled Jasek’s production last year in the minors,
and we gave Bailey away a few years ago
So if we didn’t want him, tough to imagine Jasek having any value to us at all

Their line with Okposo was played like a 3rd line,
but with hopefully adding 1 or 2 top6 guys & kids like Cozens & Mittelstadt coming up,
they’ll be one of the best 4th lines in all of hockey

Yeah could easily get behind that Montreal deal but remove Chatfield and put a capable prospect like one of Lind, Rafferty or maybe Rathbone to really make the deal interesting. A late 1st and two good prospects for 12M$ seems fair for both sides to me, don't know if Montreal would give Kulak as he's well liked around here so maybe they'd just give a pick back but I wouldn't mind/care.
