Lol I'm a Devils fan and I wouldn't even mind that trade, they have the cap space to take on Okposo for 2 years, Miller would automatically be one of our better defenceman, and we don't have a 2nd this year so it holds high value. If BUF doesn't sign Palmieri he could also be a rental in this scenario too. I see what you're saying though, in hindsight could've thrown in a nice prospect or another pick coming back.



Middelstadt still has good potential, and 7th overall in this draft is huge. They'd be getting one of the upper echelon prospects in the league (Rossi, Perfetti, Holtz, etc.) What would be a fair return in your estimation?

Palmieri has way more value than this.
Same with Zacha.

Add multiple first rounders, include Cozens in the trade and that's where it starts for Couture.

7OA is the equivalent of 2+ first rounders from contenders.
To ask for 7OA, the 7th Overall from last year (who has been outstanding), and another first round (2021, likely to still be a high pick) is way over the top, even for playoff Jesus.

I know you are a NJD fan, that's a fair trade to you??? To dump Okposo alone would cost Miller and a 2nd at minimum. Zacha is worth another struggling player and maybe a pick. Palmieri is worth a 1st for sure and a good prospect. Also don't like the SJS trade if they aren't taking cap back

Like I said earlier in the thread, in hindsight there should've been more coming back to NJ for sure. I like the basis of the trade though, we need defenceman and I always liked Miller, need high picks, can afford Okposo for 2 more years. If you do an AGM anytime soon I'd love to see you incorporate a trade surrounding those same guys!

Sabres would not trade a top 10 pick in this draft for couture let alone adding their top 10 pick in Mittelstadt to get a 31 year old center on a massive contract when they are about to pay a lot of their young guys. So that is too much to give up.
