i mean, gallagher is quite good, but using the leafs best trade assets to shore up their deepest position seems kinda counter productive

If Liljegren future is VERY bright... the value might not be far... but MTL say NO anyway because of his popularity and the dressing room presence.
You would need to offer pay... as we have enough player like Kappy (Lehkonen, Armia Mid6F).. what about one on one with Nylander?

Nylander is better than gallager. And Kappy is skilled and speedy he would play top 6 minutes easily

Petry isn't worth Nylanders flow. A soon to be 33 year old for a 24 year old who was on pace for almost 40 goals. Yeah that makes sense.

Connor Brown isnt remotely the same type of player Gally is, Gally is basically Brad Marchand lite

Jordan Greenway plays a tough game and crashes the net, also a big power forward. He has a lot of potential but hasnt been able to put it fully together but you could roll:
