I can't think of any reason why Detroit would say no.

I would say there is an equal chance Paquette waives to Gourde/Johnson waiving. If that's the case CIrelli won't be moved. Nashville will probably offer their 2021 picks not 2020

2 2nd's and 2 3rd's for NSH, they have the luxury of making that trade.

Paquettem doesn't have an NTC, but for some reason they gave one to Coburn

Probably the right idea if they cant get anyone to waive. The only thing Id say is Sergy plays better on his off side than McD.
Hope someone waives. Id rather lose anyone of Johnny, Palat or (please) Gourde than Cirelli and Paquette.

It's possible one of them waives if they are given an opportunity to go to a team like the Avs. But I just see it as a long shot, first of all Tampa is a great team and it's a beautiful city

I thought every single player on TB had a NTC or NMC?! Am I missing something?!

I don't mind teams giving guys M-NTC's, but do guys like Johnson, Gourde, Palat and Coburn really need full NTC's, it's likely costing them Cirelli.

I think the current TB situation is going to make it a lot harder for players to get full NTC/NMC going forward. I can understand why all the TB guys wanted those terms though -- they figured they had the foundation of a team that would compete for Cups for the duration of all of their contracts. And they've had some shots so far, with plenty of gas left in the tank. But now with offer sheets getting more consideration, Cirelli is at risk, that's for sure.

I'm sure Brisebois can find a way to navigate it this summer, but they won't get fair value for the guys they ship out. And it's going to take some good players off the roster to make it work, to the benefit of the teams with cap space who can afford taking on those players.

That Gourde contract probably makes TB fans want to puke right now. Without that deal on the books, Brisebois could probably make a decent deal to move Johnson or Killorn without selling them at a big discount.

I don't think an offersheet is a threat to Tampa, because most guys on the Bolts don't wanna leave, just because a team presents an offersheet doesn't mean the player has to sign it. But the same with the NTC's, why would they wanna waive to leave a top 5 team, unreal weather to go to a lesser team in a less desirable location. I just don't see them moving Johnson, Gourde or Palat, best case scenario for TB would be Seattle picking one of them in a years time.

2 2nd's and 2 3rd's would be a big overpay. 2nd + 3rd is fair given the situation Tampa is in.

Nashville has 2 picks in each of those rounds which is why they can make the trade posted above
