Regardless of the Value, enough to get it done etc, I dont think Carter makes a lot of sense. Feels like thats blocking Newhook, who is best at C, and if I remember correctly Carter is at his best at C as well, makes a log jam issue that they can avoid

That's a steep price to pay for a forward who barely outscored Jost this season, and who likely declines further next season.

I think you can find a better use of those assets, and a better use of that top-6 position. I know the Leafs have a bunch of wingers available that might fit the bill, not to mention the fact that a reunion with Kerfoot might not be a bad thing either.

Kerfoot reunion = bad idea. Kapanen and Johnsson are both interesting though.

I think you took that the wrong way.. I think kerfoot kapanen and Johnson are all a bad fit for colorado. I dont want any of them

I would really like a guy with some size for sure, but Johnsson and Kapanen’s speed skill set I find interesting, but it would have to be a reasonable deal.

Johnson is coming off a huge injury and may never recover fully, and I think kapanen is overrated, especially when kaut and give you the same production at 1/3 the cost.. and hes a home grown guy
