Still need a backup goalie. Team looks solid. Trade values look off but it could be me.

Buff could fix that problem for everyone else, but Tony D would be too dead to notice.

I love this move. I dont give a f*** about his politics Deangelo is a crazy good player. If we can pay less than full value for him thats a major win for the team

I usually agree that politics shouldn't matter, but he is such a loud outspoken a hole that he would be a cancer in the locker room.

Article from 2017: https://www.sny.tv/rangers/news/the-baggage-and-history-that-anthony-deangelo-brings-to-the-rangers/238878896

He was basically kicked off the Sting and Crunch for racism. Apparently he has cleaned his act up but I don't buy it.

Idk maybe its because im not from california but I dont care. Evander Kane has done a lot of dumb ****, and guys like Patrick Kane and Ryan O'Reilly have done much worse things so if they are alright im not worried about Deangelo

Many (most?) Californians are so hell-bent on being anti-Trump that they reject anyone who supports him (until it's Nick Bosa leading the 49ers to the Super Bowl).

From about five minutes of research looks like the concerns with Deangelo are that he's had issues with refs, made a comment that got him suspended seven years ago, and he's politically conservative. We're all lying to ourselves if we claim we've never said something inappropriate or offensive, particularly when we were teenagers. He's been fantastic this year, a hell of a lot better than any defenseman on the current Sharks roster.

The sharks have sucked. And maybe the Cali team will never accept him, but his skill is undeniable and it would be amazing hockey wise
