Barring something strange happening I really like their chances and have a feeling that the third line is going to come up huge for them. I think it’s important to use the extended rosters as an opportunity to have guys like Poulin, Legare, and POJ around the team to see what all goes into being a team great enough to go on a deep playoff run.

does anyone even really know if Jake will actually play?
They haven't really said anything about it. Just some....yeah he's progressing.

I have this odd feeling that come game time, if they play, he won't be there.

I’ve had that fear as well simply because he probably hasn’t taken contact yet and due to the pandemic everything will be in the dark until they get into a practice/camp setting.

I mean yeah there is the contract thing, but my issue is the shoulder itself. Low blood supply to the shoulder, which is why the recovery dates are long for shoulder surgeries.
You add that with being comfortable with movement afterwards due to the restriction, having to stretch it back out etc...
I mean I don't know. We don't really know what the injury even was which is why I'm kind of like, wait.
Was it clavicular, a dislocation, a tear..... I have never seen anywhere what it was. I know surgeries for dislocation don't have a great success rate. Which kind of worries me. But a lot of people who end up with things like labral tears don't even know they have them once the pain goes away and they stretch it out. They have actually done MRI on ex pitchers in baseball and found a lot of them with no symptoms have tears. Some rather large.
So it's just kind of this huge mystery. They said the earliest he'd be back is in June. I guess they won't start back up till mid July, maybe not have games till August. So we'll see.
