MN needs Greenway more than a couple of 3rds. Greenway for Kerfoot makes some sense for MN if they can't find another center somewhere this offseason. The mid-round picks really don't do much for them. MN has a better prospect pool than people give them credit for plus three 1sts in the next 2 drafts (depends if Pit makes the Playoffs this year).

Eh I figured. I've seen a lesser version of this trade thrown around a lot so tried to make it better for FLA. If Kapanen has to be involved that's fine.

Florida laughs at this offer. Bracco has no value, AJ is injury prone, Seymon is meh. Dermott is the only interesting piece. Add Kapanen and more if want the Cats to answer the phone.

Barring not finding a center in a different trade, or just re-signing Chucky I'd think about it. I'd rather it be Donato than Greenway.

Ive seen soooooo many Mackenzie Weegar trades on here. Wouldn't Florida just keep him, if he really is suppose to be that good that, at least in the minds of AGM'ers, he's already a top-4 defender? Florida will have cap problems, sure, but Weegar is a good young and reasonably affordable piece. I just don't see them wanting to trade him, especially within the division.

Weegar is not a top pair defenseman. The leafs have been bargain-hunting defensemen for years and it doesn't work. If they really want to fix the right side, they're going to have to move a 1st or a big name forward.

Any defensemen who fits Rielly's play style is a 1st pairing defensemen for us.

I mean, he plays the left side, with Ekblad, on the 15th-best top pairing in the league. Literally average. And he hasn't been Ekblad's partner for long. Also, Ekblad and Rielly are really not comparable D men...

Acciari and Weeger for Dermott and Johnsson is something else.

That doesn't mean Weegar's game will translate well with the leafs. Should've traded Nylander for Pesce like i've been saying for two years now.

???? Nylander for Pesce when will you realize that is a bad trade? Pesce's advanced stats aren't anything special and if it costs us a player as good as Nylander forget about it. That trade seemed alright a year ago and then Nylander went and had an amazing season. Nylander was 4th among RW's with goals and top-20 for ppg. He is a top-15, maybe even top-10 RW in the NHL. Pesce is NOT a top-15 RD.

Weegar plays a very defensive game, something the leafs desperately need. He has very good xGa TM REL, and is solid physically.

Remember, Hainsey and Rielly were a good paring, because Hainsey allowed Rielly to forcheck hard knowing there was a competent defensive player on his right side, and Weegar is FAR better then Hainsey.
