Description

Tampa Bay scores most of their goals transitioning from the defensive zone to the offensive zone using their speed. Nearly the rest comes from their power play. Cirelli is clearly benefiting from this. I don't think he's the next Bergeron, he scores on odd man rushes and he bangs in rebounds. He should be paid less than pointer on a bridge deal this off season

He might be benefitting from Tampas offense, but not the PP.

Also led the team in takeaways and +/-

I think 6 mill is justifiable.

I'd still rather have the PPG Barkov, who can do it all, than the 0.66 PPG Cirelli. Not knocking Cirelli, but he shouldn't make more than Barkov, even given his "defensive prowess"

He's way better than all of the Wild's centers. I'd be thrilled if we gave him ~$7M on a 6 year deal.

Just sayin... Tampa was a top 5 possession team my just about any metric you look at... And they controlled play more than their opponents in 71% of their games (best in the league...)

Yeah I don't think they just score off the rush, that's what the Jets do, and that lands them in the bottom 5 in most possession metrics...

Well, it may be crazy to you, but to a team for which he probably means the difference between playoff contention and playoff participation, he's worth every penny above the level beyond which Tampa Bay can afford to pay him. Which is uncomfortably strangulated English, but you should get my drift.
