Why would Habs take Sanderson? They need a top line LD now, not in 4 years when Sanderson is NHL ready. By then they have Romanov and Harris

If Lundell is sitting there for MN to take I don't see them trading down. He (or Byfield, duh) are the players they need from the top-10.



Lundell should be the no-brainer pick between the two of them for the Wild. MN needs centers and has Kaprizov, Fiala, and Boldy as young high end LHS wings already. That's not even counting Parise (who is there forever), Zucc (plays RW and here forever), Greenway, or Donato. Then there are guys like Beckham, Khovanov (maybe a center), and Sokolov (needs to pull his head from his ***) as LHS wings in the system.

As a Wild fan I want to agree with that. Also as a Wild fan I remember that it took the team about 10 games to remember how to play hockey when the season started. The layoff is too long and the Wild goalies have been bad this year. I think the kids play well enough to win but the vets (Staal, Parise, Spurgeon, Zucc, goalies) end up losing it for MN. Suter is the only vet I think will be okay, mainly because he owns an ice rink.
