I think Curran would get a Lehtonen deal 925K, or he might get 1M. I don’t think he will get 2.5M because he hasn’t played NHL minutes so you don’t know if he is worth all that money.

Anaheim would be out of their minds to give a contract like that to someone who never played in the NHL. He wasn’t productive in the AHL 3 seasons ago

Considering Montreal vs Anaheims situation, I'd waive to be anywhere besides Anaheim right now (besides Minnesota)

Not sure what you mean. Anaheim was worse this year than Montreal and Montreal has the better future. More ice time for Fowler (He's not getting more than Lindholm and the #1 pairing is wide open for Fowler on Montreal).

Anaheims top 3 scorers were 30 YO Henrique, 27 YO Rickell and 35 YO Getzlaf.

Montreals top 3 scorers were 29 YO Tatar, 27 YO Gallagher, and 25 YO Danault.

The Athletic ranked Montreals under 23 NHL team 18th, Anaheim was 21

Corey Pronman of the Athletic ranked Montreals prospect core 6th, Anaheim's was 14th.

Montreal has 25 picks in the next 2 drafts, Anaheim has 13

I don't see much Bias here.

He negotiated a 4 team yes list to stay where it’s 75 and sunny all year round.

Also MTLs top 3 scorers, Tatar UFA after this season and Danualt is ideally a 3C on a cup contending team. 3 spots on an under 23 team isn’t much. As for prospects MTL is probly slightly higher right now but a top 5 pick plus another late first in this deep draft MTL isn’t that far ahead of ANA nor will ANA be locked into 17+M in two 32+ yr olds for the long term. Hence why sunny and 75 is better than MTL.

Danault is a 3C on a cup contending team yet is a pure defensive center that out produces some NHL stars at 5V5. Whatever you want to say so it fits your narrative I guess.

You're forgetting Montreal currently has the #8 pick in this years draft and 3 second round picks. That surely makes up for 3 earlier selections in the 1st round.

We did better than Anaheim this year despite Price playing like **** all season. If he plays even half as good as his Vezina season, this is a playoff team.

You can say whatever you want but I'm taking my 6.5 a year for the next 6 years before I accept a trade to somewhere like MTL. If he is going to get traded anywhere, it will be Detroit.

Guess that's your opinion. It all comes down to if he wants Money/Playing Time/Best Chance to win

Yes, your dynastic juggernaut recorded two more wins than our crummy team despite the fact that the Ducks had one more regulation win than the Canadiens. That massive disparity of four more points doesn't obscure the fact that if John Gibson continues to outplay an aging Carey Price, your playoff outlook won't be much better than ours.

Both teams have good prospects and a solid core to build upon, there's no denying that.
