I honestly think that's enough to move the needle tbh, im a big fan of Dermott and think he could step into the 2LD spot right away, two solid top 9 wingers both with top 6 upside, an option at 2C in Kerfoot if need be (Although probably not ideal), a decent prospect and a first round pick. That is a pretty good deal for us.

This is fair, but I agree Nylander plus is how we would get Connor.

Connor wouldn't cost Nylander plus - Nylander is the better all around player

Being a Selke winner and Defensive liability are both on opposite extremes - Kyle Connor is a fantastic offensive player with little to no defensive awareness - Nylander is middle of the pact in that regard and can/has driven the offense on his line - Connor is more of a by product for offense not so much the driver

Nylander might be a bit better defensively, but not by much.

It's a mute argument, swapping Nylander for Connor is a lateral move (pointless) the idea is to improve the group of players so adding Connor would be great but ultimately he'll be to expensive for TO in salary cap

No.. Conner is untouchable, it would have to be a complete overpayment

his offence does without question, game gets better and better and he took a huge step up this year... not worried bout defense, it can be taught.. offence not so much (also feel like our forwards get too much blame considering we lost our entire defense crops except Morrissey before the season started)

TOR should probably focus on getting a RHD more
