Not bad at all. Would rather keep Engvall over Clifford given how young he is and the pick. Maybe we move SDA or a pick to get the FLA deal done but I like the idea of bringing those two in. Weegar seems like he could finally be the right partner for Rielly and Wallmark is still young and could definitely grown into the 3C Kerfoot was.

Weegar is a second pairing D man. I think finding the right partner for Rielly would just be too expensive to trade for.

Johnsson is a downgrade from Jarnkrok. NSH passes.

Anyone who can cover for Rielly so he can be comfortable in the ozone is the right partner for Rielly. While Pesce is ideal, Hainsey got the job done and Weegar would too. Remember it's not about how good the players are on their own it's how well they compliment the other player. Holl and Muzzin is a great example. On his own, Holl is a fringe 2nd pairing, usual 3rd pairing TWD who isn't bad in the ozone but with Muzzin he becomes a great shutdown defensemen who happens to be an effective playmaking pointman. He also lets Muzzin become more offensive and take risks, something Ceci or Zaitsev didn't.

Wrong team is sending the pick in the NSH trade.

Toronto fans keep trying to ruin my original Florida trade. They're giving up Kerfoot and Dermott plus a pick for that package. Florida has no interest in Engvall, Toronto keeps enhancing him beyond what he really is.

Florida needs more top-4 D, not less.

If Weegar and Wallmark can be signed so cheaply...the same cost as Kerfoot and Engvall, the Panthers have no motivation to make that deal.
Don't see why the Preds would value Johnsson over Jarnkrok especially with the 1.4m cap difference.
