Détails additionnels:
- WPG acquires a 2C to solidify their center depth and find a long term solution. Panarin is indeed not in Winnipeg but Strome has played a lot better since moving to NYR from EDM in November of 2018 when Panarin was a Blue Jacket. 1st could be lottery protected as well.

Or you can have the better Strome, as in Dylan, for the 2020 2nd and Vesalainen

Strome is not a #2C and barley played better before Panarin arrived in NY. In his first 5 seasons his p/gp put him around 38pts. His 2018 year in NY he played at a 43pt pace, which included an insane 22.5% S% that was over double his career average. At the end of the day he was a whopping 5 points better than his career average over his first 5 seasons.

He's a good #3C and no where close to be worth a 1st round pick.

even with a 60 point shortened season? Hayes got more and wasn't near 50. Hartman? Goodrow? Coleman?

those players were able to bring the 1st because of their low cap hits. strome is better than all 3 of those players so he might still be able to bring in a first. if it isn't a 1st it;ll still be a solid package. i don't think the rangers trade strome anyways. not only don't i think they don't trade him i can see him wearing an A next season.

Those were three really bad trades, I know there's some on here who have tried to justify those deals but I don't agree, they were just terrible overpays.

He's not a 60pt player! He's a 35-40 center that benefits from playing with Panarin. I've pointed out the numbers numerous times in other acgm's.

Those deals you mention were at the TDL when teams pay more to go for it. Some of those guys also fetched a 1st because of the below market value contacts they had.

In this case a team has to cough up a 1st for a #3C. Then they still have to re-sign him and he'll want to be paid as a 60pt center, which again he's not.

Maybe there's a GM dumb enough to give up a 1st, but Strome isn't worth a first. BTW if he plays so well with Panarin why trade him? Why not re-sign him? He and Tony are you only major signings and you have roughly $14 million in cap space with some young guys peirce to make the jump next year.

We definitely can't afford to keep Strome.

Strome was injured for quite awhile; you should look at ppg over the last two seasons...it's a lot more telling.

Ryan = 2020 - .84, 2019 - .43 TOTAL = .62ppg
Dylan = 2020 - .66, 2019 .73 TOTAL = .70ppg

Then take into account Dylan is 23 years old and Ryan is about to turn 27

Dylan has more value...pretty simple

Agreed. I think Dylan's value is difficult to predict because he's really had 1.5 productive seasons and that was with Patty Kane on his line. He was pretty bad in ARI, but its not fair to judge that either. Chicago should capitalize on his value and deal him or sign him short term and hope he can earn the big pay day in a couple years

You are repeating the same comment; Strome played with Kane only 50% of the time and the last 2/3rds of this season not much at all. The Hawks stopped playing Cat - Strome - Kane because as much as they scored, they were getting a lot more goals against while on the ice as none of those 3 plays good defense so they broke them up.
