I'd be pretty tempted by that move, biggest downside would be Gaudreau and Rielly would both be UFAs at the end of 2022. If everything were to go as planned, they would both be in line for a substantial raise.

You are either signing 28 yo Gaudreau to a long term deal for big $$ (which will inevitably include his decline years) and dealing one of Nylander/Marner, or letting Johnny Hockey walk as a UFA.
