why would the leafs trade lehtonen when he hasnt even played a game for us. He was named KHL defenseman of the year. If he can do that production with the leafs which is very possible due to the big 4 I would say steal of the year candidate.

Dubas literally got the perfect replacement for barrie for only 925k and the guy can actually defend when required.

An overpaid bottom-6 forward + a 7th defenseman have no appeal, especially when you're asking for a top-4 RHD in return. If you're going to trade Larsson to make room for Pietrangelo and Bouchard, at least get a useful return... like a good 3C. Ennis doesn't play center and hasn't for 7 years.

Johnsson scored at 4th line rates despite playing on the 2nd line with Matthews and Nylander. That's a replacement level player even though he's being paid for much higher production than he achieved... there's a reason every single Leafs AGM has him being moved this summer.

Lehtonen hasn't proved anything in the NHL yet. At this time the Oilers have plenty of LHD, they have no need for another. As it stands, Lehtonen would enter TC as the Oilers 4th best LHD, no question.

Because they don't get PP time. Johnsson scored just 3 goals at 5v5 this season, 4 on the PP and 1 empty netter. That's just sad.
