Laffy and a CBO for Seabs is like a double lottery for Chi

They wont be in the lottery for 1st since they are in the playoffs. But they might be for 2 and 3 if they lose in round 1

FWIW The Hawks are currently #9, Under the old draft the best they can do is #5 overall. So realistically Lafreniere isn't happening.

I like this team a lot. I hope Kurashev can take the #3C role soon enough. He's a stud prospect that the Hawks are just allowing time to naturally develop. He's very underrated IMO.

The old draft? You mean the old proposed idea, never was solidified. Under the former draft rules, any team in the lottery could slide up to #1.

I like Kurashev's potential better then Barrett whom I think will be a 4C in the league.

Barrett a 4C? He's been fantastic at Penn state. My understanding is he projects to play somewhere in the middle 6

I don't think Barrett will translate well into the NHL, mainly because he's not the fastest skater. He has developed nicely in college, but as we know, the college game is considerably slower then the NHL. I have a hard time believing he will make the team, which is fine, and will play in Rockford. I can see him taking over for Kampf.

What we saw out of Kurashev on training camp was impressive. His injury set him back but he ended up doing okay in Rockford. I believe Kurashev has the tools to be a middle 6, but i think he will be a better winger then center.
