Assuming a flat cap, Tampa has a bit over $5M in cap space with 15 players on the roster and they need to re-sign Cirelli, Sergachev, and Cernak. Not to mention they handed out full blown NTC's like candy so if they want to make trades to clear cap their players have to waive. I'm not sure there's anything they can do if a team offersheets Cirelli or Sergachev fair market value, and arguably the same goes for Cernak.

Cirelli would have to sign the offersheet though which isn't likely, also there's no guarantee that Little is going on LTIR and without that there isn't enough cap space to sign Cirelli if signing DeMelo or another dman is the priority.

That's a pretty reasonable price for him. Don't think Tampa can match unless they move Vasilevsky.

WPG has traded its 1st away previous 2 years for just a rental #2C. Adding 2nd and 3rd to get a guy for 6 years would be a win for them. Nobody on the free market fills that hole as free agency pool is weak for C's. Might be cheaper trade options (Stromes?) but likely nobody with Cirelli's potential

I agree with that. O/S'ing isn't the way the jets should be doing business IMO. Plus it's an overpay at this point
