Leafs take that and run, if only Chiarelli was still GM we could pull off that trade

No. Toronto needs 3C so unless they are getting like Zacha or Faksa or JEE back, they arent trading Kerf.

Honestly Tor should look into lizotte for a 3c. King's have tonnes of center prospects making him expendable. At 925k for a year that contract would be great.nthen kerfoot could go for some picks

Obviously in this scenario Im assuming the Leafs are trading for another centre. Value wise the Leafs make out like bandits

They dont tho.. they are taking on failing prospect whose trade value is close to minimal and 3rd pairing D.

And we trade away a centre who couldnt put up 30 points playing on a line with JT and Nylander for half the season

He played 3rd line most of the time playing 3C role. He played with JT and Nylander for like two weeks. He had a down year but still put up almost half a point per game as 3C while playing excellent defensive game,. I think he is more valuable than zero valued prospect and 3rd pairing D. Id say he is worth 2nd+

I probably watched 50-55 games this season and disagree. He was far from a liability but far from great as well. Don't think he can handle top matchups well at all and does a pretty average job defensively against 2nd and 3rd lines

He did a great job I think. He was rock solid in his own end always, very smart with and without the puck and his transitional abilities were also great. Scoring lacked a bit but it was really down season in his own words so I expect him to be 2/3C with defensive capabilities and solid offensive impact as well.

Don't think we're in complete disagreement here, it was definitely a down year for him offensively but it looked more like he was struggling rather than bad luck. Defensively, I agree hes smart with the puck, has a pretty even giveaway/takeaway every season and doesn't have any brutal giveaways. Personally consider great defensively to be someone like Cirelli or Kopitar or any other Selke considered forwards. I don't think the Leafs are moving Kerfoot though and really hope he can bounce back and be one of the best 3Cs in the league next season/this season

    Roster looks excellent!
    Deep&thick.
Neal the only doubtful trade due 2 $.
If ED ate $1.5 million, maybe.
    Well done..-~

Neal is just a compliance buyout if the league decides to go that way. Each team would get one and not have it affect your salary cap
