Killorn will get a better package than Palat

Not sure Nashville is interested in giving that NJD 2nd for a player they would likely expose in the expansion draft and could be off the team in one year

Palat brings a better return then Killorn for the Lightning. Better 2 way player and better overall scoring numbers over his career plus 1 less year on his contract. Palat is also the 5m dollar winger that they want to keep the most of the 4.

What do you think of the overall team?

I don't think the Lightning want to move 3 of their 4 middle six 5M guys. I think they will try to get it done only moving two.

But with your team as is I think the Braun signing is an interesting UFA and he could fit in well on the right side but pair him with Sergachev who has played the left side all this year. I would buy out Coburn freeing another 1.13M giving you 3.5M to spend. You overpaid both Verhaeghe who should get 800K and Joesph & Volkov who will get minimum contracts 700k. So now you have 4.0M So I would sign Jan Rutta for 1.5M to play on the right as he was really good with Hedman. I would also sign Mitchell Stephens to a minimum contract 700k, Pat Maroon type for 900k and a Luke Schenn type as 7th D for 700K to round out the team.
